You may remember Sara from an earlier post – I did some bridal portraits of her a few weeks ago and that blog post had the most hits of any of my posts so far! I asked if she and her fiance might be interested in doing an engagement session to help me get some shots for advertising, but they live quite a ways from here and the timing just didn’t work out. But then I got a call from Sara’s mom saying that they were going to make a trip up for the photos, and of course I wanted to do everything I could to make it happen! I will have to admit though, knowing that they were driving 9+ hours for me to take their engagement photos made me a bit nervous. Add to the fact that between my schedule and theirs, the only time we could do the session was mid-afternoon in FULL SUN… Which made me even more nervous! Of course, I want all my sessions to go great and the goal is always to capture some awesome moments, but I just really wanted to make sure we got some great shots since they were making the trip up. I already knew Sara was great in front of the camera, and when I met Josh, I knew I would have no trouble. They are truly a great couple – both super sweet, easy-going, and laid back, and totally in love with each other. I love the interactions between them. And c’mon, you know a man must be head over heels when he agrees to drive 9.5 hours to have his picture taken! 🙂 Here are some of the shots from our session, and I’ll be adding some of these to my main website soon too!
Thanks so much Sara and Josh! Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding!!!! It was great working with you both and I hope you love the results so far! I’ll have more for you soon 🙂
