A while back I decided to participate in a nationwide program called Giving is Awesome. It’s basically just a way for photographers to giveback to the community by having people nominate someone they know for a photo session that “deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty”. This family was nominated by a friend after they had a really rough year, and eventually lost their precious son due to complications of a rare disease called Wolman’s Disease. When I got their nomination, I knew this was the family I wanted to photograph, but after talking with the mom a bit we decided to wait a while for their session. They recently welcomed a new little guy into their family and mom thought it would be the perfect time to take some pictures of them with their newborn son and beautiful daughter. Just working with them for the short time of their photo session, their family spirit, love, and beauty was definitely evident, and I am so happy that I was able to spend some time with them and capture this time in their lives. Here are a few images from their session:
Thanks so much P family for inviting me into your home. I truly enjoyed meeting and working with you all, and I hope you love the images so far. Will have more for you soon!
