I met mom and dad at the Madison Street Festival this past October, and I remembered liking them as soon as I met them. At the street festival, they told me they liked my photos, and asked if I had ever seen the Awkward Family Photos website. (You should check it out if you haven’t seen it – it’s definitely good for a laugh!) We chatted for a bit about it, and they went on their way. A week or so after the festival, mom contacted me to book a session. I was thrilled that they wanted to do some photos, and even more thrilled that this meant they didn’t think I shot awkward family photos! Ha!
Seriously though, when I heard this family’s story I was really excited for their shoot. This military family has been apart for quite some time, but is finally together again for good and wanted to have photos done to celebrate and remember this new chapter in their lives. We had such a good time hanging out for a bit on an extremely nice and warm November morning – gotta love Alabama weather! They are such a fun family, and I could tell they are just so happy to all be in the same city again! I am so happy for you all, and honored that you chose me to do your photos. Hope you love them so far – more soon!
So happy, they’re jumping for joy! 🙂 Be sure to leave them a comment, and see a few more from their session on Facebook! While you’re there, be sure to “Like” my page so you will be the first to know about my fun Etsy Christmas Camera-inspired gifts giveaway coming soon! Have a great week everyone!
